Snow Blind in Wasteland. The new title of MK Legends is here for the 30th anniversary of the franchise. Let’s introduce an old protagonist, the swordman Kenshi Takahashi.
An animated movie as present
Numbers are quite relevant in the game industry, and for the 30th anniversary of Mortal Kombat series, the most successful animated transposition launched a new title: Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind. The protagonist of this new animated movie is Kenshi Takahashi, a young man of warrior ancestors, who was blinded by Shang Tsung.

Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind mixes some elements of the videogame MK11 with Kenshi story in a new dystopian future, sets decades after the events of Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms. Ruler of this post-apocalyptic world is Kano, became King and nightmare for the poor people, who survived in the Earthrealm. With the aid of the Black Dragon and Shang Tsung, King Kano terrorizes town after town, until Kenshi arrives.
The skills of the young man don’t work against notable Kano’s allies like: Kabal, Kira, Tremor and Erron Black. Only with the help of an old Sub-Zero in retreat and an immortal Scorpion, Kenshi’s justice would be successful.
I don’t need sight to destroy you
Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind’s movie is another flawless victory for the franchise, with an unexpected and original story, capable of entertaining in a very MK style and pay tribute to all the characters shown. Blood and fatalities are very present, but this time a lot more integrated in the plot. Again, even if the choral plot is not canon, it is very original and legitimated with Kronika’s chamber. Kenshi’s story is well integrated with Kano’s Wasteland takeover and Kuai Liang’s isolation.
Snow Blind in Wasteland is here and it is the perfect way to celebrate this 30th anniversary of Mortal Kombat. Did you already watch the movie? What do you do to celebrate this legendary MK anniversary?
