Michelle Yeoh all at once. The new movie Everything Everywhere all at once is a critical success and maybe the best way to tribute one of the most important women of the movie martial art world.

An original multiverse

Everything Everywhere all at once is an American science-fiction film written and directed by Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert. The movie introduces the multiverse following a Chinese-American woman, who has to connect with versions of herself in parallel universes in order to prevent the destruction of the entire universe system. The plot as weird as it is brilliant, allowing the cast to express itself in multiple ways in one of the weirdest multiverse never seen before.

Shining Stars

The cast is the magnificent protagonist of this eccentric story, that involves a really good Stephanie Hsu, a rediscovered Ke Huy Quan and the multitalent Michelle Yeoh all at once. But also James Hong and Jamie Lee Curtis, enhancing the potential of the crew. Stephanie Hsu, already seen in Shang-Chi and the legend of the Ten Ring, plays Joy Wang, Evelyn’s daughter and main villain of the movie. Ke Huy Quan, known for The Goonies and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, returns in his best shape as actor and stuntman, capable of deliver unbelievable scenes as Waymond Wang, Evelyn’s husband. The star of the movie instead, Michelle Yeoh is called to show all her talents playing versions of herself as Evelyn, a middle-aged Chinese-America woman, running a laundromat… in the main universe.

Kung Fu world

Even if Everything Everywhere all at once is not a martial art movie, there is plenty of good action in it, thanks to the professional and experienced couple of protagonists. Michelle Yeoh has a very long list of martial art movies and needs no introduction. About Ke Huy Quan instead, it is good to remember his involvement as stunt choreographer in X-Men and The One, starring Jet Li and Jason Statham.
