Bat in the Sun is a video making company formed in Los Angeles (California) by Aaron and Sean Schoenke. They reached a worldwide success thanks to their youtube project “Super Power Beat Down”, where two or more characters from comics, videogames or movies collide into spectacular fights.
The project recruits former stuntmen that can handle the fight style and the body size of specific super hero characters. Aaron Schoenke as well as founder, director and writer of the company, he is also one of the talented stuntmen behind the suit.
It is very difficult to review all the fights of the show in this page, so I will pick the videos that impressed me the most.
Nightwing VS Winter Soldier
One of the best fights of the entire channel is involving right Aaron Schoenko. The great performance of his beloved Nightwing, it reveals that the guy has some martial art skills, even if he is pretty unknown outside his big production. John Hennigan instead results pretty famous… Better known with his pro wrestling ring name John Morrison, the Tag Team Champion from L.A. is also a film actor and producer. Green Ranger VS Ryu
The most astonished episode of the show was seen Jason David Frank playing his Green Ranger! The actor is literally the incarnation of the Power Ranger Tommy Oliver, performing the character in pretty all the TV series of the American franchise. The fights that fans dream of
“Super Power Beat Down” as seen, it is not only a project that put the audience in the first place, giving the possibility to choose which hero is going to fight and who is going to win. But it gives also the chance to some former actors and stunts, to play the character that they always want to impersonate. In the end, the true power of Bat in the Sun is to made up of fans, that know pretty well what they are doing and are delighted to do it.
