Welcome back Fatal Fury. After 26 long years, Fatal Fury is back in action with the brand new title Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves!
It’s been a while
Terry Bogard and company are finally back after 26 long years from the series last title Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves, launched in 1999. A lot of characters of the series were hosted through many other fighting games, among them the legendary series King of Fighters.
The Gameplay
City of the Wolves retains the two-dimensional gameplay of Mark of the Wolves, with the T.O.P. system renamed Selective Potential Gear (S.P.G.) and an advanced version of Just Defense. It introduces Gear attacks, which can be powered up by filling two meters, and the Rev System, which adds special moves but triggers Overheat if overused.
The game offers two control schemes: Arcade Style (traditional) and Smart Style (simplified). The Episodes of South Town mode adds RPG elements with missions and customization. It supports online multiplayer with rollback netcode and cross-platform play.
The Rooster
City of the Wolves will feature 17 characters in its base roster, with five more planned for the first season pass. Alongside new fighters, several classic Fatal Fury characters will return.
The first DLC season will return the favor to Street Fighter 6 (who has included Terry and Mai), including Ken Masters and Chun Li, marking the series’ first crossover, along with Mr. Big from Art of Fighting.
