Martial art movies aren’t dead. With the movie Life after fighting Bren Foster reminds everyone that the martial art movie genre has still a lot to show.
Good old vibes
Life After Fighting is one of those good martial art movies with a plot and not just kicks and punches. Bren Foster is not only a phenomenal martial artist, but also an expressive and passionate actor, maybe that’s the reason of the beauty and the success of this movie… A lot of martial art movies focus only on the style of combat, it is rare to watch a movie with a strong plot, capable actors and well defined fighting style. Life after fighting has all of it and this thanks to Bren Foster.
A story behind the moves
Life After Fighting shows some martial art styles very different from each other and they work well together. It’s not difficult to imagine that all these fighting styles are the essence of Bren Foster path to the martial art world, feeling the movie as a sort of Bren’s tribute to his teachings. The unbelievable Taekwondo flying kicks, the spectacular Brazilian JuJitsu grappling techniques and some examples of Hapkido, Hwarangdo and Muay Thai even! Bren Foster was really capable to deliver one of the best martial art movies of the last ten years in my opinion.
The Australian actor however was not the only martial artist of the movie: Ethan Browne, Eddie Arrazola and Masa Yamaguchi were part of this unbelievable action scenes.
Martial art movies aren’t dead and Bren Foster is here to remind us of that. Hoping to see Bren Foster in a sequel or in movie with some shining star like Scott Adkins or Iko Uwais, with who would you like to see the protagonist of Life after fighting with? Tell us in the comments below.
