Ohma Tokita is ready to show off. The world of Kengan Ashura will collide against the universe of Baki, but who is Ohma Tokita and what is Kengan Ashura about?

The best two anime universes of martial arts will collide soon. On the one hand we have the World’s Strongest Boy and all the iconic characters of Baki, in the other hand we have the Ashura and the strongest fighters of the Kengan Tournament.
If Baki Hanma has always been considered THE martial art anime, since its first transposition in 2019 on Netflix, Kengan Ashura was very appreciated as well. It was capable of distinguish itself and build a very successful show telling the story of Ohma Tokita, a fighter that is scouted to participate in the Kengan Annihilation Tournament, a fighting tournament which rewards the winner with the seat of Kengan Association chairman, a very prestigious position.

Kengan Ashura counts two seasons for now, both the seasons follows the relationship between Ohma Tokita and Kazuo Yamashita, that due to a number of circumstances, they will become fighter and manager in the Kengan circuit, an underground organization that rules business and terms of employment thorough martial art matches between association representative contestants.
Kengan Ashura differs from Baki especially due to its realistic fighting styles that distinguish these warriors from each other. The most enthusiastic fights of the first season concern indeed the tournament matches of the first round in which the fighting styles are shown, for example the Bartitsu style of Mokichi Robinson or the wrestling of Ohkubo Naoya.
Like the first season, the second one continues exploring the escalation of the strongest fighters through the Kengan Annihilation Tournament. For now the second season counts only 12 episodes, but a second part is set to be aired on August this year.
