The nominees

We are continuing struggling with the Covid-19 pandemic and its variants around the globe, but we are slowly taking control of it, and fight back. The same it is happening to the movie industry, which this year launched powerful material regarding the martial art action scenes, and it is currently filming others big titles that we will enjoy very soon. But let’s focus on the present and let’s see the five nominees of this year:

  • Raging Fire, it is the last movie directed by the one and only Benny Chan (known internationally for directing Jackie Chan in Who am I?) before his death. The movie includes the participation of the martial art star of the moment Donnie Yen, returning once again in a “police story”, this time against the multi talent celebrity Nicholas Tse. Once again Donnie Yen will give to the audience his astonishing physical and dramatic version of himself, demonstrating his mastery for the martial art movie genre.

After 18 years from the last episode, Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss “are resurrected” to reprise their respective roles, with new faces like: Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick and Jonathan Groff. But also old ones, like Jada Pinkett Smith and Daniel Bernhardt. Will this new episode change the conception that we have of the reality once more? Or is it already outdated technology?
