This ain’t another stunt crew, the people of Rogue Origin Films lift the bar of the live action videos even higher. It doesn’t really matter if we are talking about anime, comic books or video games, these professionals will impersonate whatever fictional fighters you are dreaming of.
New content for niche fans
Rogue Origin Films is a very young fight video channel, which amplify the live action world, introducing unreleased fights of niche anime, comic book and video game franchises. The founder, Josh Mabie directed five projects of our old acquaintance RE:ANIME, and it is constantly developing high quality material based on the followers suggestion. Yes, you heard it right: Rogue Origin Films listen to the audience for developing its own videos. So, without further ado, let’s enjoy their works:
Immortal 65
Let’s start with the strongest of the crew, the British martial artist Christian Howard. The talented actor and filmmaker is the pride of the Rogue Origin Films project. Howard is known to be the perfect incarnation of Street Fighter’s Ken Masters, impersonated in the astonishing Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist web series and its sequel Street Fighter: Resurrection. Here below you will see him in action as Orson Randall aka Danny Rand Iron Fist predecessor, in a live action premiere! Don’t miss the other great performance of Christian Howard as Terry Bogard too!
Street Fighter: Enter the Dragon
The second short film that I propose you guys is coming right from Street Fighter video games, and involves two characters that usually don’t have so many opportunities to show off. I am talking about the greedy American boxer Balrog, played by the powerful Lincoln Blake, and the Hong Kong movie star Fei Long, impersonated by the athletic Brandon Soohoo. As guest character we are lucky enough to have Chun Li, played by the talented and gorgeous Gemma Nguyen. For those who pay attention, you will recognise Christian Howard in a flash appearance.
Session #00 Midnight Rambler
Giving space to another niche product that in a month will be mainstream thanks to Netflix, I have to mention the Cowboy Bebop fan film of Rogue Origin Films. Talking as fan of the anime, this short film is really well done: the pace, the sound and the style really recall the work of Shinichiro Watanabe. All the three actors are very enjoyable as Spike Spiegel, Tan Strite and Jet Black, respectively Justin Van Cho, Alfred Hsing and Kristofer Gordon. See you Space Cowboy…
Hey, come on, come on!
Rogue Origin Films did really lift the bar of the live action videos even higher than we saw with the other channels. The number of views and followers does not do credit to a show that is really highly studied and pay homage to the work of the martial artist with insights and curiosities. Having then Christian Howard in the crew, guarantees the result. Keep doing it champs!!!
