The World’s Strongest Anime

Not all the manga have the chance to be adapted to anime, and only the best anime reach to run until the end, Baki is one of them. Considering that the first issue of the manga released right thirty years ago, Baki story managed to excite more than one generation during all this time. And now, just before the end, for a fan like me, remembering all the battles Baki went through is a bit emotional…

Another Level of Shadow Boxing

The anime series Baki Hanma is the direct sequel of the second season of Baki, streamed always on Netflix. Despite the natural sequence of the series, this latest one is quite standalone. In fact, the two first episodes are told through the eyes of Rumina Ayukawa, a young timid boy who is challenged by some bullies to fight against Baki. After taking a blow, Rumina became friend of Baki, deciding to follow him during his shadow boxing training. Rumina demonstrates great potential managing to see Baki’s mental projection, in preparation to his final match against his father, Yujiro Hanma, the Ogre.

Trip to the U.S.A.

From the third episode we are thrown in the U.S.A. more precisely in Arizona State Prison, where Baki manages to entry, kidnapping the President of the United States George Bosch, in order to challenge the strongest man in America known as Mister Unchained. But Baki is not the only one who wants to challenge the number one strongest inmate of Arizona State Prison, Biscuit Oliva. The former pirate of the high seas, Jun Guevara will face Biscuit Oliva before Baki, delaying the fights between the two.

In the end, Baki demonstrates to have what it takes to beat down the strongest man of America and finally face his father again for the match of his life. Everything seems to be set up and The World’s Strongest Boy is ready to show off for the last season.

The Last Baki’s Series

What I really appreciated about this new series is that it is continuing with the same animation style of the previous series, directly following the events of Baki season two. And despite the strong connection with the series, Baki Hanma is introduced with new eyes, letting new audience to watch the series without knowing nothing about the thousand fights and characters that surrounded Baki’s world during the last twenty-seven years of anime.

So, what do you guys think about this last Baki series? What’s your favourite Baki series?
