Jutsu No Movies celebrates one year of life guys! Let’s see what we have done so far and what will be the direction of your favourite martial art website for the future. But pay attention, because the birthday of Jutsu No Movies won’t be the only one in these first days of April…
Locked Down
I started one year ago with this post, at that time the world was approaching the Covid-19 for the first time and writing about a guy in a room was pretty appropriate, even for a martial art blog. Unfortunately, the term “lock-down” is still very present and well-known to anyone in the world because of the pandemic, so sadly after a year, my review of Oldboy does not lose its actuality. And right from this article I want to start today, because its meaning maybe goes beyond the pure martial art project purpose, that I imagined at first. Let’s take just a moment to think at yourselves as “Old Boys”… Forced to live in a room for really a long time… What will you do?
From a room to the world
I decided to follow the example of Oh Dae-su (the protagonist of Oldboy), we are all capable of great things if we use our effort in a constructive way, so Jutsu No Movies started to take shape in a small room. Movies, TV series, Anime, Cartoons and Videogames were just the beginning, little by little the website was filling with content. Then a very precious category was added: “To discover”, in which you can find martial art content from the socials, from those people that generally are not so much in the spotlight. A step toward the social platforms, a step toward you, and I did not stop there: the Contact Form, Twitter and the Newsletters are all available services that want to expand your experience on the world of the Martial Arts.
Big news
Jutsu No Movies celebrates one year of life and like I have already said in The New Eve’s Year post, the website will be always more social in the future. So I am happy to announce that Jutsu No Movies just opened its Instagram Profile. Remembering you are always welcomed to write me for special requests about the next posts and the content of the website.
Happy birthday to Jackie too
Like a said in the headline we are not celebrating only Jutsu No Movies birthday, but also the birthday of the most funny and talented martial artist alive in the world: Jackie Chan. The master is just turned 67 this year, he is considered the reference point of the contemporary elite of martial art movie stars that are making the history in these years, so it is self-evident that I will wait the right time before talking much more in depth about him in some dedicated posts. Until then what better occasion for me to share his very first starring role in a movie: Little Tiger of Canton, launched in 1973 in Hong Kong and re-edited in 1979, with movie footages of the 1971, at that time Jackie was only 17!
